Ponsse Unveils New Harvesting Solutions at FinnMetko 2026
Forest machine manufacturer Ponsse Oyj has introduced new harvesting equipment and digital services, set to debut at FinnMetko 2026. Key introductions include the new PONSSE Bison forwarder and the PONSSE H6 harvester head.

Forest machine manufacturer Ponsse Oyj announced the launch of several new products and solutions in early September, which will be showcased at the FinnMetko 2026 event in Jämsä, Finland. The company states that the new offerings are designed to enhance productivity, reduce operating costs, and streamline forestry operations.
Alongside new machinery, Ponsse is highlighting its digital services, including the expansion of the PONSSE Opti 5G information system to forwarders. When combined with PONSSE Manager Pro, the system facilitates real-time data sharing between machines and the office, improving planning and monitoring.
Among the featured equipment is the new PONSSE Bison forwarder, which is lighter and more maneuverable than previous models, suitable for varied terrain. Its continuously variable transmission aims to improve driving comfort and fuel efficiency.
Ponsse is also launching the new PONSSE H6 harvester head, designed for versatile use from thinning to final felling. The head boasts improved length measurement accuracy and a redesigned saw box to minimize snow and ice accumulation.
The company is further introducing the PONSSE Connectivity Ready Satellite feature, intended to enhance data transfer connections, particularly in remote locations. Ponsse emphasizes its product development focus on machine availability and serviceability in demanding conditions.
