PORR AG Reports Stable Output and Increased Profit in H1 2026

Vienna – PORR AG, an Austrian construction company, announced a strong first half of 2026, characterized by cost efficiencies and profit growth. Production output and revenue remained stable at EUR 3,167 million, matching the previous year's level. However, profit before tax (EBT) saw a substantial increase of 26.8%, reaching EUR 49.2 million. The profit for the period grew by 23.9% to EUR 36.4 million.

The company's order backlog stood at EUR 9,839 million as of the reporting date, securing capacity utilization for the next eighteen months. While order intake decreased slightly to EUR 3,466 million compared to the previous year, this reflects PORR's selective approach to securing new projects. Civil engineering activities showed significant growth, while the building construction sector experienced delays due to early-year winter conditions.

PORR has secured several major new contracts, including a section of the western bypass of Szczecin in Poland, the construction of a chip factory in Germany, and revitalization projects in Romania. The company anticipates further significant contracts from Germany in the coming months, particularly in infrastructure development.

For the full year 2026, PORR forecasts output and revenue growth of 2% to 4% and maintains an EBIT margin guidance between 3.2% and 3.3%. The company is strategically focusing on growth areas such as healthcare, data centers, and affordable housing to ensure continued positive earnings prospects.
