PORR to Build Józef Piłsudski Museum in Poland
PORR AG's Polish subsidiary has signed a contract to construct the Józef Piłsudski Museum and education complex. The project includes new museum construction, renovation of the historic Willa Bzów villa, and revitalization of green spaces.

Construction company PORR AG is undertaking a significant project in Poland with the construction of the Józef Piłsudski Museum and education complex in Sulejówek. A contract signed in May 2016 commits PORR to completing the work within 18 months, with the facility scheduled for handover in early 2018.
The project, funded by a multi-year government program, encompasses not only the new museum building but also the restoration of the historic Willa Bzów (Lilac Villa) and the revitalization of its surrounding grounds. The contract value is approximately EUR 16.5 million.
PORR's Polish subsidiary will execute the project under a "Design & Build" contract. The facility will feature three underground and three above-ground levels, with the visible structure composed of two parallel, equally-sized cuboid sections.
"The order for the Józef Piłsudski Museum demonstrates the significant trust PORR enjoys in Poland," stated CEO Karl-Heinz Strauss. He referenced the company's prior construction achievements in Warsaw, such as the Hotel Intercontinental and the Warsaw Finance Centre, to highlight PORR's capabilities.
While construction progresses, preparations for the permanent exhibition, which will be displayed in the new museum, are also underway. The museum is expected to open to the public in early 2018.
