Porsche 911 Carrera S gets manual transmission option in North America
Porsche is now offering a six-speed manual transmission option for the 911 Carrera S exclusively in the North American market. The new option targets drivers seeking a more engaging driving experience.

Porsche has introduced a six-speed manual transmission option for the 911 Carrera S, available exclusively in the North American market. This manual version, dubbed the 911 Carrera S MT package, aims to appeal to drivers who desire a more direct connection and control over their vehicle.
The model is offered in both coupe and convertible body styles. It retains the existing 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine from the Carrera S, delivering 353 kW of power. The car weighs 1509 kg.
Beyond the manual gearbox, the MT package includes rear-axle steering, a 10mm lower sports suspension, unique exhaust tuning, and center-lock wheels. Standard features also comprise four-way adjustable Sport Seats Plus, titanium exhaust tips, and a SportDesign front bumper.
Interior differences include seats with a checked fabric center, matching stitching and seatbelts, and brushed aluminum trim on the Ceramica panels. Optional features include carbon fiber bucket seats and ceramic composite brakes. The vehicle can also be equipped with a welcome light that projects a six-speed shift pattern onto the ground.
