Portable Charger Catches Fire on Hunan Airlines Flight Post-Landing

A portable charger ignited on Hunan Airlines flight A67776 after the aircraft landed in Changsha on September 15, the airline confirmed. The incident occurred during passenger disembarkation, prompting a swift response from the flight crew.

According to Hunan Airlines, the fire originated from a portable charger carried by a passenger. Smoke was observed in the rear cabin as passengers were exiting the aircraft. The crew immediately addressed the situation and managed the situation.

The airline stated that the fire was extinguished promptly and that all passengers were safely and orderly evacuated. No injuries were reported, and the cabin's facilities remained undamaged.

Hunan Airlines reminded passengers to adhere to regulations concerning the transport of portable chargers and other battery-powered devices.
