Power Metallic Mines reports high-grade copper and metal intercepts from Lion Zone drilling
Power Metallic Mines has released drill results from its Lion Zone, including an intercept of 36.42 meters grading 2.83% copper equivalent.

Power Metallic Mines Inc. has announced final assay results from its Winter 2026 drilling program at the Lion Zone of its mining project. The company reported significant mineral intercepts, including a 36.42-meter drill core intersection averaging 2.83% copper equivalent (CuEqRec1). A 6-meter portion of this intersection returned a higher grade of 12.38% CuEqRec1.
The drilling results are intended to support the company's upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for the Lion deposit, which is projected to be completed by the end of July. This MRE will serve as the basis for a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) to commence immediately thereafter.
Infill drilling at the Lion Zone focused on defining the eastern side of the deposit near the surface. Drill hole PML-26-116, drilled to a depth of 75 meters, yielded the high-grade copper results. The company also reported on drill holes that defined the eastern edge of the Lion Zone for resource modeling, encountering favorable mineralized structures with lower-grade assays.
Power Metallic Mines also expects to receive assay results from its summer drilling program in the coming weeks. The company also announced the voting results from its Annual General and Special Meeting held on June 30, 2026, in Toronto.
