Powerbox launches 105 DC/DC converter models with 2xMOPP medical approval

Powerbox, a European power supply company, has released three new series of 15W, 20W, and 30W board-mount DC/DC converters for medical applications. The PMM15, PMM20, and PMM30 series comprise a total of 105 models, all certified to the 3rd Edition of the IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1 medical safety standard with 2xMOPP patient protection.

The new converters feature reinforced isolation of 5,000 VAC and a typical leakage current of 2µA, ensuring operator and patient safety. Designed for demanding environments, they are rated for operation at altitudes up to 5,000 meters, making them suitable for medical facilities in high-altitude regions.

Available in wide (2:1) and ultra-wide (4:1) input voltage ranges from 9V to 75V, the converters offer multiple output voltage options from 5V to ±15V. They are designed for high efficiency and low standby power consumption, operating without a minimum load requirement. A five-year warranty is provided.

Powerbox targets these converters for use in medical equipment such as home healthcare devices, ultrasound machines, and ventilators. For industrial applications, their reinforced isolation also makes them suitable for IGBT driver channels.

All products comply with RoHS and REACH directives and are CE marked.
