PowerEdge partners with Elisa Industriq for Finnish battery storage project

Swiss firm PowerEdge has selected Elisa Industriq’s Gridle platform to manage optimization and trading for its new 37 MWh battery storage site in Pelkosenniemi.

20 October 2026

PowerEdge AG, based in Switzerland, has commissioned Elisa Industriq to provide optimization and trading services for a 10 MW / 37 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) located in Pelkosenniemi, Finland. This project marks the entry of PowerEdge into the Finnish utility-scale energy storage market.

Under the agreement, Elisa Industriq’s Gridle platform will manage the battery’s operations across electricity markets. The software utilizes AI-driven algorithms to perform automated trading and optimization, aiming to maximize the economic efficiency of the asset.

Energy storage infrastructure is becoming increasingly vital in Finland to balance the grid as intermittent renewable energy sources, such as wind power, expand. By leveraging Gridle’s automated capabilities, PowerEdge seeks to navigate the complexities of power trading without internalizing full market management operations.
