PRA Group marks 30 years with Nasdaq opening bell ceremony
PRA Group celebrated its 30th anniversary on November 3, 2026, by ringing the opening bell at the Nasdaq stock exchange in New York.

Founded in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1996, PRA Group commemorated three decades of operations with a ceremony at the Nasdaq exchange in Times Square. CEO Martin Sjolund and co-founder and executive chairman Steve Fredrickson led the event, joined by company leadership and staff.
The firm, which went public in 2002, operates across 18 countries, specializing in the acquisition and collection of non-performing loans. By purchasing debt portfolios from banks and other creditors, the company serves as an intermediary in the financial sector, facilitating capital recovery.
Looking toward the future, the company is implementing its "PRA 3.0" strategy, introduced earlier in 2026. The shift aims to evolve the organization into a performance-oriented, technology-supported capital allocation entity as it enters its fourth decade.
