Practo Appoints Jagnoor Singh as New CEO, Shashank ND Shifts to Executive Chairman
Healthtech company Practo has appointed former COO Jagnoor Singh as its new CEO, while co-founder and former CEO Shashank ND transitions to an expanded role as Executive Chairman.

Healthtech firm Practo announced a leadership overhaul, appointing Jagnoor Singh, formerly its Chief Operating Officer (COO), as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Shashank ND, a co-founder and previous CEO, will move to an expanded role as Managing Director and Executive Chairman.
Singh's appointment took effect on September 1. He is tasked with leading Practo's overall strategy, growth, and operations across its international markets. Singh joined Practo in January 2025, having previously held senior positions at companies including Bharti Airtel, Unacademy, and OYO.
Shashank ND will now concentrate on Practo's long-term vision, product development, strategic initiatives, and corporate development. These changes coincide with Practo's preparations for international expansion and a potential initial public offering (IPO). The company has also strengthened its board with the addition of former Union Health Secretary CK Mishra as an independent director.
The reshuffle includes expanded responsibilities for other senior executives. Co-founder Siddhartha Nihalani will oversee the company's consumer businesses as COO โ B2C. Rowel Coelho has been appointed COO โ B2B, managing enterprise and corporate services. Co-founder Abhinav Lal takes on the new role of Chief Scientist, focusing on AI applications in healthcare and research partnerships.
Practo reports a 40% year-over-year growth and has been profitable for the past two and a half years, achieving EBITDA profitability in fiscal year 2025. The company operates a digital healthcare platform connecting patients with over 700,000 healthcare providers globally.
