Prada Group and EssilorLuxottica Renew Licensing Agreement for 10 Years
Prada Group and EssilorLuxottica have extended their licensing agreement for Prada, Prada Linea Rossa, and Miu Miu eyewear through December 31, 2030, with an option to extend further.
Prada Group and EssilorLuxottica announced on December 19, 2024, the renewal of their licensing agreement for the development, production, and worldwide distribution of eyewear under the Prada, Prada Linea Rossa, and Miu Miu brands.
The existing agreement, originally set to expire on December 31, 2025, has been extended to December 31, 2030, with a provision for a further renewal until December 31, 2035.
This partnership, spanning over two decades, has established a significant presence in the luxury eyewear market. The collaboration has focused on merging fashion trends with technological advancements to create distinctive eyewear collections that have become industry benchmarks.
Prada Group Chairman Patrizio Bertelli stated that the renewal reinforces the companies' commitment to shared values of craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. EssilorLuxottica Chairman and CEO Francesco Milleri added that the companies aim to deliver further innovations in luxury eyewear in the coming years.
