Pre-owned Goods Marketplace Circle Raises ₹25 Cr Seed Funding

Pre-owned goods marketplace Circle has secured ₹25 Cr (approximately $2.6 million) in a seed funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Titan Capital and Myntra cofounder Raveen Sastry. Delhivery COO Ajith Pai also joined as an angel investor.

The startup plans to utilize the fresh capital to expand its operations beyond Bengaluru and to strengthen its AI-powered tools for pricing, product discovery, and verification. Circle also intends to scale its logistics network and "Trust Hubs," which are responsible for product verification and order fulfillment.

Founded in 2025 by Chirag Kataruka and Ankit Misra, Circle operates a managed marketplace model for pre-owned items. The company handles product verification, payments, and logistics for transactions between individual buyers and sellers, without holding inventory. Its platform integrates AI tools with human verification across categories including electronics, gaming, furniture, and fashion.

The Bengaluru-based company claims to have facilitated around ₹25 Cr in pre-owned goods sales within its first year, attracting over 1 million visitors and generating 100,000 listings in the city. Circle competes in a growing recommerce market in India, projected to reach $8.61 billion by 2030, facing players like OLX India, Quikr, and Cashify.
