Precision Products Group Acquires Monadnock Non-Wovens to Expand Engineered Textiles Portfolio
Precision Products Group (PPG) has acquired Monadnock Non-Wovens (MNW), a manufacturer of specialized nonwoven materials. The deal expands PPG's portfolio with products for filtration and acoustic applications.

Cincinnati, OH – Precision Products Group (PPG), a portfolio company of Auxo Investment Partners, announced the acquisition of Monadnock Non-Wovens LLC (MNW). MNW, based in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, is a manufacturer of highly engineered meltblown nonwoven materials for filtration, acoustic, medical, and industrial applications.
The acquisition expands PPG's Engineered Textiles division and adds a new category of highly engineered materials to its existing portfolio, which includes paper, tubing, and woven products. Both PPG and MNW focus on highly technical and specified materials, with MNW developing sound-dampening and filtration solutions to meet demanding customer requirements.
Founded by the Verney family and remaining family-owned, MNW has over 25 years of experience manufacturing meltblown nonwoven media for filtration, automotive, healthcare, appliance, and consumer markets. The company designs and builds its own production equipment and operates multiple meltblown and hydro-charging lines. An in-house applications development laboratory facilitates the progression of new products from pilot runs to full-scale production.
"We are thrilled to welcome Monadnock Non-Wovens to PPG," said Tom Moore, CEO of PPG. "PPG is built around highly technical, engineered materials, and MNW shares that same focus. This acquisition represents an opportunity to leverage our capital and expertise to further enhance MNW's operations by investing in equipment and expanding capabilities."
MNW will continue to operate under its own brand alongside PPG's other brands. James Cree will continue to lead the business as President. "Innovation has always been at the heart of MNW. With PPG's resources and expertise, we can accelerate our efforts and bring even better solutions to our customers," Cree stated.
