Premier Inn, a subsidiary of the UK-based Whitbread PLC, and Lechner Group are set to develop a new hotel in the Gateway Gardens business district located near Frankfurt Airport. The project will include 202 hotel rooms and an underground parking garage with approximately 40 spaces. Premier Inn Deutschland has acquired the 1,770 square meter site on De-Saint-Exupéry-Straße, with Lechner Group acting as the general contractor. The building permit application is expected to be submitted in the summer of 2025, and construction is anticipated to take less than 18 months following approval.

The two companies are already collaborating on a separate project in Eschborn, near Frankfurt, where a 174-room hotel is under construction. That project began in December 2024 and is scheduled for completion in May 2026. The successful collaboration in Eschborn has reinforced their partnership and efficient project execution capabilities.

Premier Inn aims for rapid expansion in Germany, utilizing a construction model that heavily relies on modular building. A significant portion of the hotel rooms will be prefabricated off-site, considerably reducing the on-site construction timeline. Lechner Group stated that the modular rooms, complete with furnishings, will be assembled within two months after the completion of the underground garage and ground floor.

This development is part of a broader expansion of Gateway Gardens, a strategic business and logistics hub near Frankfurt Airport. Premier Inn's investment is expected to enhance the area's appeal for business travelers and the logistics industry.
