Premier Inn hotels use room lights to honor NHS and key workers

Premier Inn hotels have illuminated their room lights across the UK to spell out "NHS" and create heart shapes, showing support for healthcare professionals and other essential workers.

The initiative was first seen at the Cardiff Bay Premier Inn, where hotel manager Adrian Andrews arranged for room lights to spell "NHS" in tribute to local healthcare staff. This display has since inspired other Premier Inn locations nationwide to participate in similar gestures.

These actions are part of a broader effort to recognize the contributions of key workers. Premier Inn has also made over 5,000 rooms available to essential personnel, including NHS staff, to facilitate their continued work.

In addition to the "NHS" spelling, some hotels have featured illuminated heart shapes and rainbow designs. The hotel chain continues to provide accommodation for healthcare workers and others in essential roles.
