Premier Inn opens 74th German hotel in Eschborn near Frankfurt

Hotel chain Premier Inn has increased its footprint in the Frankfurt metropolitan region with the opening of its 74th hotel in Germany. The new establishment is situated in Eschborn, a significant business hub located on the outskirts of Frankfurt.

The Premier Inn Frankfurt Eschborn comprises 174 rooms, including 29 Premier Inn Plus rooms designed for enhanced guest comfort. This marks the fifth Premier Inn property in the region. Its proximity to public transport is notable, with Eschborn Süd station a 10-minute walk away, offering a 15-minute S-Bahn connection to central Frankfurt.

A key feature of the new hotel is its construction method. For the first time in Germany, Premier Inn utilized modular building techniques in collaboration with the Lechner Group. This approach is intended to streamline construction processes, ensure high-quality standards, and contribute to sustainable portfolio development.

Kai Backeberg, Construction Director at Premier Inn, highlighted the project's forward-looking nature. "With our preferred partner Lechner Group, we are setting a strong signal for the future of construction. The Premier Inn Frankfurt Eschborn is our first modular project, enabling industrial prefabrication with a 100 percent completion level for the rooms," Backeberg stated.

Christian Hanisch, Managing Director of Modular Construction at Lechner Group, added that their modular approach achieves a high degree of prefabrication, with rooms fully fitted out, including furniture and technical equipment, at the factory. This significantly reduces interfaces and speeds up construction while ensuring consistent quality. Premier Inn aims to solidify its presence in attractive growth regions and provide reliable quality accommodation in central locations.
