Press Distribution Alliance Presse-Grosso-Allianz (PGA) Formally Established
The Presse-Grosso-Allianz (PGA), a new entity for press distribution, has been formally established. This move aims to create a centralized distribution structure for newspapers and magazines.

The Fit for Future (FFF) association, comprising publishers and wholesale distributors, has formally established the Presse-Grosso-Allianz (PGA) in July 2026. This establishes the corporate legal framework for a central wholesale company within the new press distribution system.
As of July 1, 2026, Deutsche Medienmanufaktur (DMM), publisher of titles such as Landlust and Essen & Trinken, and Keesing, a provider of puzzle media, also became shareholders in the publishing holding company.
Further publisher partnerships are planned for January 1, 2027. These include Der Tagesspiegel and a group of regional newspaper publishers. The FFF states that the new system remains open to additional press publishers in Germany.
In the wholesale sector, MELO Holding, which includes system partner Trunk, and Jost have formed a joint venture that will become part of the alliance. Süddeutsche Kattenzentrale (SZZ) also intends to participate in the further development of the press distribution system. According to FFF, this now covers more than three-quarters of the market.
The FFF alliance remains interested in cooperation with all current wholesale distributors and is confident in reaching further agreements. The alliance is also planning an information and networking event for spring 2027.
