Pressley Ridge Advanced Kinship Care in West Virginia
Pressley Ridge convened over 50 professionals in West Virginia from September 15-18 to discuss and advance kinship care and family-centered support.
More than 50 community partners, advocates, and child welfare experts gathered in Bridgeport, West Virginia, from September 15-18 for the B~Hope Conference and Summit hosted by Pressley Ridge. The event focused on improving kinship care and family-centered support services within the state.
Discussions centered on the Family Centered Treatment Foundation model and the newly introduced Pressley Ridge B~Hope Embracing Kinship Caregivers curriculum. A key theme was equipping caregivers and families with necessary resources for success.
The West Virginia First Foundation sponsored the event. Pressley Ridge stated its ongoing commitment to strengthening families, supporting kinship caregivers, and maintaining children's bonds with their loved ones through collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Pressley Ridge provides services including mental health support, foster and kinship care, residential treatment, and specialized education for youth, individuals, and families.
