Preventive health startup Cent secures $15 million Series A funding

Cent, a diagnostic health startup co-founded by Practo alumnus Shashank ND, has closed a $15 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons, with contributions from notable industry figures including former Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin and former OpenAI B2B CTO Srinivas Narayanan.

The company plans to allocate these funds toward research and development, alongside expanding its engineering and clinical teams. Concurrent with the funding announcement, Cent acquired Medsee, an AI-based radiology reporting platform designed to improve the speed and consistency of diagnostic results.

Cent focuses on early detection by combining MRI, CT, and DEXA scans with proprietary AI algorithms to screen asymptomatic patients for over 300 conditions. Its diagnostic package, priced at ₹27,500, offers organ-level risk assessments for cardiac, oncological, and neurological health. Since its launch earlier this year, the firm has conducted 10,000 scans across Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR.

By leveraging the data collected from these diagnostic procedures, the company aims to establish health baselines for the Indian population. The startup has set a long-term goal of performing 10 million scans by 2035 to further support its AI model training and clinical research efforts.
