Principal Terry Willis Retires from KTGY

Architecture and design firm KTGY has announced the retirement of its Principal, Terry Willis, effective March 29, 2024. Willis has been with the firm for nearly a decade, concluding a distinguished 45-year career that spanned projects across the United States, Canada, Southeast Asia, and Pakistan.

During his tenure at KTGY, Willis played a key role in expanding the firm's Denver office. He was instrumental in designing communities that delivered enduring value to clients and left a significant mark on the region's built environment. Notable KTGY projects he contributed to include Vita Littleton, Capitol Square Apartments, and the Central Park Station Masterplan in Denver.

"Terry's leadership skills, strategic insights, and creative thinking have been invaluable in broadening KTGY’s reach, allowing us to partner with new clients and foster trusted relationships in the Rocky Mountain region," said Chris Texter, a KTGY Board Member and Managing Principal. Texter noted that Willis cultivated an open and supportive office culture that fostered talent and mentored future leaders.

For nearly ten years, Willis collaborated closely with fellow Principal Nathan Sciarra to lead the multifamily studio in Denver. In 2023, Principal Kyle Millar joined their leadership team. Both Sciarra and Millar have been with KTGY for 20 years and are committed to continuing the legacy Willis established, which emphasizes partnership, design excellence, and meticulous attention to client vision.
