Proalpha Marks 30 Years of Operation
Proalpha, founded in 1992, is celebrating three decades in the enterprise software market. Long-term employees share insights into the company's evolution from software development to AI.

Proalpha, originally established as W. Ernst Informatik GmbH in 1992, is commemorating 30 years in the business software sector. The company has evolved significantly over the past three decades, expanding its product offerings and market reach. Long-serving employees are reflecting on the company's journey.
Gunnar Schug, CEO of humanIT Software GmbH and an employee since 1999, joined Proalpha shortly after completing his university studies. He recalls a rapid hiring process that secured him a position within a week of applying. Reflecting on key milestones, Schug highlights the user interface redesign for version 6.1 as a significant development he contributed to. Currently, he cites NEMO, the company's artificial intelligence solution, as a personal highlight.
Schug attributes his long tenure at Proalpha to the opportunities for personal and professional growth provided by the company and its leadership, including co-founder Martin Wolf. He emphasizes that while the company offers development paths, employees must actively pursue these opportunities. "I've always had enough room to develop," Schug stated.
Proalpha is currently navigating a challenging but exciting cloud transformation. The company continues its focus on enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses. Schug expressed optimism for the company's future, supported by initiatives like the cloud-native AI solution NEMO, and anticipates continued success as it adapts to market changes.
