Product Design Student Leverages 3D Printing for Projects
Hong Kong-based product design student Carmen Chan uses 3D printing to realize academic projects and artistic expressions, utilizing several Creality 3D printers.

Carmen Chan, a product design and marketing exchange student from Hong Kong, has transformed 3D printing from a hobby into a tool for her academic projects and artistic expressions.
Chan began her 3D printing journey with the goal of enhancing how she presented her designs. She discovered the technology while seeking ways to turn digital prototypes into tangible objects. Utilizing several Creality 3D printers, including the Ender-3 V3, K2 Plus, and K1 Max, she has successfully created projects such as a human-sized King Kong robot and a Godzilla humidifier.
Chan gained recognition for designing and printing a lightweight, functional drone frame that improved aerial stability. This project earned her an award in a campus engineering competition. She also employs Creality Print software for preparing models, streamlining the workflow from design to print. Chan notes that this workflow is so efficient, she can iterate on a design three times in a single day.
Beyond her academic work, Chan has used 3D printing for various artworks, including the "Xonamorph" character and a Wukong sculpture from the game "Blackmyth: Wukong." Her social media presence, where she shares her creations, has attracted 125,000 followers. Chan finds that Creality's equipment offers a balance between user-friendliness and performance, viewing 3D printing as integral to her future career in technology-driven design.
