Professor Gang Shen from Taikang ByBo Dental has been named among the World's Top 2% Scientists for the fourth consecutive year, according to a database released by Stanford University and Elsevier. He was recognized on both the Single-Year Scientific Impact list for 2023-2026 and the Career-Long Scientific Impact list for 2025 and 2026.
The recognition highlights Shen's sustained research contributions in orthodontics, particularly his work on mandibular repositioning and temporomandibular joint remodeling. For over three decades, his research has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of complex dentofacial deformities.
Shen's research has been published in leading journals such as the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Journal of Dental Research. He has authored over 100 academic papers, with more than 50 SCI-indexed articles in international publications.
Since 2019, Prof. Shen has collaborated with Smartee Denti-Technology on research and clinical applications for mandibular repositioning. This partnership has led to the development of the "Smartee GS technology system," enhancing diagnostic classification and treatment planning in the field.
