Projekt Schwarz-Weiß donates infrared acupressure devices to Kenya

German non-profit Projekt Schwarz-Weiß has equipped its facilities in Kenya with infrared acupressure devices. One unit has been installed at the Nice-View center in Ukunda, with a second donated to the Makobe home for disabled children, made possible by donations from German businesses and communities.

The organization first observed the devices' potential benefits when two children with cerebral palsy, Neema and GG, received treatments at a Ceragem center in Ukunda. Following daily sessions, improvements were noted in the children's muscle relaxation, hand mobility, and overall physical function. GG, who is typically restless, began sleeping through the night, and his walking exercises showed promising results.

The installation of a dedicated device at Nice-View has allowed staff and children to address muscle and back discomfort locally. Recognizing that Neema and GG would be returning to the Makobe home, Projekt Schwarz-Weiß decided to allocate funds from a donation to provide Makobe with a similar device.

This initiative aims to benefit a broader group of children at Makobe requiring similar care and rehabilitation. The project continues its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children in Kenya by providing essential therapeutic resources.
