Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. expands health services, seeks investors in Kenya

German charity Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. has expanded its operations in Kenya during the first quarter of 2017.

Aiming to secure a better future for the country, the organization has introduced maternal and child health services at the Nice View clinic. The first baby, Hadija, was born at the clinic on February 15th. This marks the Nice View Medical Centre's capability to offer counseling and treatment for pregnant women, mothers, and children, including a 24-hour emergency service.

Concurrently, the association is actively seeking more investors and sponsors for several ongoing projects. A new school building in Nice View II is nearing completion, but further funding is required for final works, equipment, and the installation of a solar power system. This system is intended to make the children's village independent of the unstable electricity grid. The hospital also requires an ultrasound scanner and an anesthesia device.

The organization also hopes to acquire its own bus to facilitate event organization and enhance the attractiveness of the Nice View Academy for external students. Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. emphasizes that the operational costs of the constantly growing project present an ongoing challenge and appeals for all forms of support.

One of the organization's long-term beneficiaries, Mwanasha, has begun an au pair year in Germany around Easter, providing her with international experience before her return to Kenya with new ideas.
