The Prosecco DOC Consortium is concluding its 2026 Chef Residency program with a visit by British chef Bethany Hipwell. The initiative highlights collaboration and cultural exchange while strengthening Prosecco DOC's position as a significant wine export to the United Kingdom.
Bethany Hipwell, recognized for her work at Michelin-starred Hambleton Hall and The Two Pigs restaurant, will participate in events in Milan during October. Prior to this, she will undertake an immersive experience in the Prosecco DOC region of Italy to deepen her understanding of its traditions and production.
The program includes masterclasses and workshops for young hospitality professionals, focusing on contemporary cuisine and the utilization of quality ingredients. The week will culminate in an invitation-only dinner showcasing a British culinary perspective, symbolizing international gastronomic dialogue.
Prosecco DOC is a substantial export to the UK, its second-largest market after the U.S., accounting for over 100 million bottles annually. "Concluding the 2026 Chef Residency initiative in the UK holds particular significance for us," stated Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Consortium. He emphasized Prosecco DOC's role as an ambassador for Italian style and hospitality worldwide.
