Finland's Prosecution Service has concluded its review of charges related to Patria Land Services Oy's vehicle project in Slovenia. The pre-trial investigation into the matter began in 2007.
According to the prosecutor, six individuals will face charges of aggravated bribery, suspected to have occurred between 2005 and 2007. Charges for business espionage are also being sought against some of the defendants. All suspects have denied the accusations.
Furthermore, the prosecutor is seeking a corporate fine against Patria Land Services Oy. The prosecutor has also issued seven decisions not to prosecute.
Patria views the completion of the pre-trial investigation and charge consideration, following a five-year pending period, as a positive development. The company has cooperated with the police investigation to facilitate a swift resolution. Patria will now review the case material and await court proceedings.
