Protectt.ai to Acquire Controlling Stake in Bosch AI Security Unit AIShield
Cybersecurity firm Protectt.ai plans to acquire a majority interest in AIShield, a Bosch Global Software Technologies incubation project, to bolster enterprise AI security capabilities.

Protectt.ai, an AI-native cybersecurity startup, has announced plans to purchase a controlling stake in AIShield, an AI security platform incubated within Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW). Bosch will retain a minority interest in the platform following the close of the deal. While the transaction’s valuation and specific timeline remain undisclosed, Protectt.ai co-founder Manish Mimani noted that the deal structure involves a mix of cash and employee stock options, alongside commitments for future investment.
Established in 2022, AIShield specializes in securing machine learning models and generative AI supply chains against adversarial manipulation. Following the acquisition, the unit will continue to operate as an independent entity under the Protectt.ai umbrella. The company plans to scale its team to approximately 60 employees by 2027, focusing heavily on research, patent development, and technical engineering.
This acquisition marks a strategic pivot for Protectt.ai, which has historically focused on mobile threat defense and regulatory compliance for applications. By integrating AIShield's capabilities, the company aims to move into broader enterprise-level AI security, targeting both private sector and government entities. The firm, which raised approximately $16 million in a 2025 Series A round, is also evaluating further expansion opportunities in API and cloud security.
