Provimedia Releases Code Guardian Update 17.7
Provimedia GmbH has released version 17.7 of its Code Guardian software. The update introduces changes to the deployment process, a new 'leitstand' tool for session overview, and security enhancements.

Provimedia GmbH has launched version 17.7 of its Code Guardian software. This update brings several changes impacting user workflows, particularly within the deployment process. A new 'leitstand' feature offers a centralized overview of all Claude Code sessions.
The most significant change affects deployments made via SSH using additional options, environment variables, or sub-shells. Starting with Code Guardian 17.6, such deployments will be halted, requiring the user to write a release report and re-execute the command. Additionally, the software reduces its own text output during a session, displaying approximately 80% less text after the second input, to streamline the user experience.
The new 'leitstand' tool, introduced in version 17.6, aggregates all of a user's Claude Code sessions onto a single dashboard. It displays active and waiting sessions, tool-related dependencies, open decisions, and provides insights into resource consumption and token allocation. This tool is read-only and does not consume tokens or alter session states.
Update 17.7 also includes security fixes that address vulnerabilities where specific command sequences could previously bypass protective barriers. Notably, the handling of special characters and strings has been improved to prevent them from masking subsequent commands from the control mechanisms. These fixes apply to core protections including deletion, database migrations, and deployments.
