Publicis Groupe Proposes Tidjane Thiam for Supervisory Board, Élisabeth Badinter for Re-election

PARIS – Publicis Groupe will ask shareholders to approve the appointment of Tidjane Thiam as a new member of its Supervisory Board and the re-election of Élisabeth Badinter for a four-year term. The proposals are set to be voted on at the company's General Meeting on May 25, 2022.

The mandates of current members Élisabeth Badinter and Cherie Nursalim are due to expire at the upcoming meeting. The Supervisory Board recommends the renewal of Badinter's term, citing her continuous support for the Group's development. The Board also extended its thanks to Nursalim for her contributions during her tenure.

The proposed appointment of Thiam aims to further strengthen the Supervisory Board's international dimension and diversity of expertise. His experience leading major financial groups, including Prudential and Credit Suisse, and initiating significant projects in emerging markets is expected to add substantial value.

Thiam holds degrees from École polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des Mines, as well as an MBA from INSEAD. He previously worked at McKinsey & Company and held executive positions at Aviva and Prudential before serving as CEO of Credit Suisse from 2015 to 2020. He currently sits on the board of Kering.

Shareholders will also vote on a dividend of 2.40 euros per share for the 2021 fiscal year. Publicis Groupe filed its 2021 Universal Registration Document with the French financial markets authority (AMF) on April 25, 2022.
