Publicis Groupe announced first-quarter 2023 reported net revenue increased by 10%, with organic growth reaching 7.1% above expectations. The company reaffirmed its full-year financial guidance.

Paris – Publicis Groupe began 2023 with a strong first quarter, reporting a 10% increase in net revenue compared to the same period last year. The company's organic growth was 7.1%, exceeding expectations and continuing a trend of robust performance following two years of double-digit expansion.
The growth was supported by strong contributions from its key divisions. Epsilon, the group's data and technology arm, and Publicis Sapient, focusing on digital business transformation, both achieved organic growth rates of approximately 10-11%. The U.S. market, Publicis Groupe's largest, saw organic growth of 5.8%, while Europe experienced a significant acceleration with 12.3% organic growth. Performance in China remained solid, with 3.7% organic growth despite economic headwinds.
Amidst increasing macroeconomic uncertainties, Publicis Groupe reaffirmed its full-year financial guidance for 2023. The company now anticipates organic growth to reach the upper half of its previously stated 3-5% range. This outlook reflects confidence in the group's diversified business model, which combines data, technology, and creative services, enabling it to gain market share.
Arthur Sadoun, Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe, noted that the company's first-quarter net revenue has grown by 45% on a reported basis and 18% organically since the first quarter of 2019, indicating a significant expansion in scale. The company also reiterated its financial targets for the full year, including operating margin and free cash flow, expressing confidence in achieving these objectives.
