Publicis Groupe Reports Record First-Half Results, Raises 2022 Outlook
Publicis Groupe announced strong first-half 2022 financial results that exceeded expectations. The advertising and communications firm has revised its full-year forecasts upwards, citing robust performance across all regions and business segments.

Paris, July 21, 2022 – Publicis Groupe SA reported robust financial results for the first half of 2022, with net revenue growing 21% in the second quarter and organic growth reaching 10.3%. This performance surpassed previous highs achieved in the second quarter of 2021, which saw 17.1% organic growth.
The company experienced balanced growth across its operations, with the U.S. and Europe markets growing by 10.1% and Asia by 6.5%. Key divisions, including Publicis Sapient and Epsilon, which focus on data and digital transformation, accelerated their growth rates to 19.1% and 13.7%, respectively. The company also highlighted its leading position in new business wins.
Profitability improved significantly, with the operating margin rate increasing to 17.3%, an 80 basis point rise compared to the first half of 2021. Diluted headline earnings per share (EPS) rose by 29% to €2.88, and free cash flow increased by 17% to €708 million.
Based on these strong results and improved visibility for the remainder of the year, Publicis Groupe has revised its full-year 2022 financial outlook upwards. The company now expects organic growth to be between 6% and 7%, an operating margin rate between 17.5% and 18%, and free cash flow to be at least €1.5 billion.
