Publicis Groupe to Acquire LiveRamp for $2.2 Billion

Publicis Groupe announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire LiveRamp, a global data collaboration platform, for a total enterprise value of $2.2 billion.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Publicis Groupe's position in data co-creation, a capability deemed crucial in the age of artificial intelligence and agentic business transformation. This move also allows the Groupe to raise its 2027-2028 financial objectives for net revenue and headline EPS growth.

LiveRamp operates as a data collaboration platform, enabling companies to unify, manage, and activate data across the digital ecosystem. It connects over 25,000 publisher domains and more than 500 technology and data partners across 14 markets.

The transaction, an all-cash deal valued at $38.50 per share, represents a premium to LiveRamp's closing share price prior to the announcement. Publicis Groupe anticipates the acquisition to be accretive to its earnings per share from the first year of consolidation.

Data co-creation, as defined by Publicis, is the process by which companies connect multiple data sources across partners in a secure environment to generate new data assets. This is seen as a way to provide clients with a competitive edge, especially as many companies reportedly lack adequate data for AI initiatives.
