Advertising and marketing giant Publicis Groupe has announced the acquisition of Profitero, a global SaaS platform specializing in e-commerce intelligence. The deal aims to integrate Profitero's data and analytics capabilities into Publicis' existing suite of services for brands.

Paris – Publicis Groupe announced on May 3, 2022, its acquisition of Profitero, a global SaaS e-commerce intelligence platform. Profitero assists brands in analyzing and optimizing their sales, marketing, and operational performance across more than 700 retail websites worldwide.
The acquisition will see Publicis Groupe combine Profitero's product data and analytics with the Groupe's retail media, data, and commerce solutions. This integration is intended to provide brands with enhanced capabilities to maximize their online sales and profitability.
Profitero's platform tracks over 70 million products across more than 700 retailers, offering actionable insights to over 4,000 brands. The company's solutions help brands anticipate, activate, and automate actions to drive profitable growth for their product catalogs in the digital space.
With Profitero's technology and its 300 employees, Publicis Groupe aims to scale and enhance its existing commerce offerings globally. The company believes this strategic combination will enable clients to exponentially grow their online sales by better understanding consumer behavior, optimizing product assortments, improving media spend, and enhancing customer experiences.
Profitero will continue to operate as a product-focused entity within Publicis, led by CEO Bryan Wiener and President Sarah Hofstetter. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
