Publicis Groupe to invest 300 million euros in AI strategy

Publicis Groupe has announced a 300-million-euro investment strategy aimed at embedding artificial intelligence across its entire operational model. The plan, which follows a 6.3 percent organic growth performance in 2023, is designed to shift the firm from a service platform to an integrated "intelligent system."

For 2024, the company plans to allocate 100 million euros to the initiative, with half dedicated to workforce training and recruitment, and the remainder assigned to technology, including cloud infrastructure and software licenses. Central to this strategy is "CoreAI," an entity that will aggregate the group’s proprietary data, which includes over 2.3 billion consumer profiles and years of historical transformation data.

The investment intends to streamline operations in areas such as media buying, content production, and software development. By leveraging internal data, Publicis aims to increase the productivity and technical capacity of its 100,000 employees. The rollout of CoreAI is scheduled for the first half of 2024, with a formal presentation set for the Viva Tech event in May.
