Publicis Groupe's Working with Cancer Initiative Wins Cannes Lions Grand Prix
Publicis Groupe's Working with Cancer initiative received a Grand Prix for Good at the Cannes Lions Health awards. The program aims to end the stigma associated with cancer in the workplace.

Publicis Groupe's "Working with Cancer" initiative has been awarded a Grand Prix for Good in the Health and Wellness category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The award ceremony took place in Cannes on June 19, 2023.
The "Working with Cancer" initiative, launched five months prior, has garnered commitments from over 600 companies, representing more than 20 million employees globally. The program's stated goal is to eliminate the stigma surrounding cancer and other chronic illnesses in the workplace. In France, the initiative has also gained support from the public sector, encompassing 5.7 million civil servants.
"This recognition shows what is possible when we unite for a great cause. As a creative industry, this is a fight we can win," stated Arthur Sadoun, Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe. He emphasized that tackling the stigma of cancer and chronic diseases at work is an achievable goal.
Mel Routhier, the Health and Wellness Jury President, commented that the initiative was "a brilliantly creative idea with global impact." She added that the powerful program has the potential to permanently change how companies support their employees, making it deserving of the top honor.
