Pudu Robotics enters home automation market with PUDU TOMO S lawn mowers
Commercial robotics firm Pudu Robotics has launched the PUDU TOMO S series, featuring an automated blade-sharpening system for residential lawn care.

Pudu Robotics has officially entered the residential lawn care market with the launch of the PUDU TOMO S series. The new robotic mowers incorporate the SharpLoop system, designed to automatically sharpen cutting blades within the charging station, reducing the frequency of manual maintenance for homeowners.
Company CEO Felix Zhang stated that the expansion leverages Pudu's background in commercial robotics, where it has historically serviced clients such as Marriott and Walmart. The PUDU TOMO S utilizes a dual-motor system providing 636 watts of power and speeds of up to 6,000 RPM, designed to handle dense vegetation. It also includes a specialized rear-discharge channel intended to prevent clogging.
The series features an intelligent navigation and edge-cutting system that allows the robot to maneuver closely against walls and obstacles, minimizing the need for manual trimming. By applying its proprietary 'one brain, multiple forms' architectural approach, Pudu is shifting its focus from industrial logistics and service robots to the home automation sector.
