Pudu Robotics enters home automation market with PUDU TOMO S mower series

Pudu Robotics has unveiled the PUDU TOMO S series, a new product line marking the company's expansion into residential lawn care. The series introduces the SharpLoop system, which automates the sharpening of rotary blades at the charging station to reduce the need for manual maintenance.

The company is leveraging its background in commercial automation, where it has historically provided robots for logistics and hospitality environments. CEO Felix Zhang stated that the objective is to apply the same reliability and navigation standards developed for enterprise clients to residential lawn maintenance.

Technically, the mower utilizes a combination of LiDAR, AI vision, and RTK positioning to map lawn boundaries without the need for physical wires. Its four-wheel-drive platform is designed to handle slopes up to 45 degrees, while a floating cutting deck allows for terrain contouring.

The PUDU TOMO S series will be available in three variants covering lawn sizes from 1,500 to 5,000 square meters. The company expects to commence sales in the spring of 2027.
