Both physicians are recognized experts in pulmonary fibrosis (PF) and interstitial lung diseases (ILD), adding significant clinical and research experience to the foundation's leadership.

The appointments come as the PFF implements its new five-year strategic plan, "The PFF is Me." This plan aims to accelerate the development of a cure for the more than 250,000 individuals in the United States living with PF and ILD. Dr. Bemiss and Dr. Thavarajah, both specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine, are expected to play a key role in advancing the organization's mission.

Dr. Bradford Bemiss serves as an Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and directs the Northwestern Medicine PFF Care Center Network site. His expertise spans ILD, lung transplantation, clinical trials, and guideline development.
