PurMinds, SpectroChip Partner with Taiwan Hospital for Diagnostic Validation

PurMinds Enterprises, Inc. has entered into a five-year collaboration agreement with SpectroChip Inc. and Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital in Taiwan. The partnership is designed to advance the development of point-of-care diagnostics, clinical performance evaluation, and precision medicine applications.

The collaboration integrates SpectroChip's photonic chip-based portable testing technology with PurMinds' SwiftLabTM Platform and precision medicine solutions, alongside Siaogang Hospital's clinical research capabilities. The parties intend to establish a joint "PurMinds / SpectroChip Global Clinical Validation Testing Center" for teaching, research, and clinical validation, focusing on evaluating diagnostic performance and testing workflows.

PurMinds' SwiftLabTM Platform utilizes a laboratory-grade spectrometer miniaturized onto a photonic chip, housed in a portable reader. It aims to deliver quantitative, lab-grade results from simple test cassettes in five minutes or less. Siaogang Hospital will provide the institutional setting for research and validation activities. SpectroChip will also provide approximately $94,000 in research funding over five years.

The initiative seeks to connect technology development with institutional research to evaluate diagnostic applications and support PurMinds' commercialization efforts. Dr. Chih-Hsing Hung, Dean of the hospital, highlighted the importance of such collaborations for the responsible evaluation of emerging diagnostic technologies.
