Pylontech begins mass production of LFP cells for energy storage

Pylontech, a company specializing in energy storage solutions, has initiated mass production of a new generation of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells. The company announced on September 21, 2026, that its production facility in Hefei has started manufacturing two new cell types with capacities of 588 ampere-hours (Ah) and 601 Ah.

This expansion is aimed at meeting the growing demand for energy storage systems, particularly for large-scale applications such as grid stabilization and renewable energy integration. Pylontech states that the new cells offer improved energy density and longer lifespan, which are crucial for long-term and efficient storage solutions.

The production line, strategically located at the Hefei plant, leverages Pylontech's existing infrastructure and expertise in LFP battery technology. The company has previously invested significantly in research and development to enhance the performance and safety of its battery cells.
