Pyramid Pharma Services expands manufacturing contract to include 13th commercial product
The California-based CDMO will manufacture a new cartridge-based therapy for rare blood cancers following facility upgrades.

Pyramid Pharma Services has expanded its contract manufacturing agreement with an existing biopharmaceutical partner. The Costa Mesa-based company will now produce its 13th commercial product, a therapy for rare blood cancers delivered via a cartridge-based format.
The expanded scope of work follows significant capital investments in the company’s California production facility. These upgrades include a high-speed aseptic fill-finish line from Groninger and automated assembly capabilities provided by the Mikron platform. These technical additions allow the facility to support more complex drug delivery formats, including autoinjectors and pen injectors.
CEO Dirk Lange noted that the investments reflect an effort to align manufacturing capacity with the evolving requirements of client products as they move through clinical stages toward commercialization. With a 38-year operating history, the company maintains its focus on sterile injectable production, backed by a history of successful regulatory inspections by the FDA.
The firm currently holds 13 commercial programs, with additional projects moving through process performance qualification. The company provides a full suite of services, from initial formulation and sterile filling to final labeling and packaging.
