Pyrost Launches New Platform for Firearms Commerce and Content
Pyrost, an independent platform serving the shooting sports community, has officially launched. The platform combines firearms and gear retail, editorial content, and legislative tracking tools.

Pyrost, a new independent platform serving the shooting sports community, officially launched on July 14, 2026, at pyrost.com. The platform, founded by Salida Gunshop owner Josiah Nierman, integrates firearms and gear retail, original editorial content, podcasts, and legislative tracking tools into a single destination.

Nierman established Pyrost following multiple account restrictions, content removals, and advertising rejections experienced on major social media platforms between 2025 and 2026. He stated that the inability to reliably reach his audience on existing platforms prompted the development of his own.

In addition to retail offerings, Pyrost features product reviews, industry commentary, podcasts, and legislative updates focused on issues affecting gun owners, hunters, and competitive shooters nationwide. The platform also provides analysis of legislative bills, real-time alerts, and state-specific advocacy information.

The company plans to expand its original content offerings later this year, including additional podcast programming and a long-form video series. Nierman has been actively involved in Colorado legislative issues concerning firearms owners and dealers. The platform aims to provide a space for the community to access products, information, and advocacy resources independently.
