Qatar Years of Culture program sets partner nations through 2030
The Qatar-led Years of Culture initiative has announced its next five cultural partners, spanning collaborations with Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, and Spain through 2030.

The Years of Culture initiative, an international exchange program under the auspices of Qatar Museums, has confirmed its upcoming slate of partner countries. The multi-year plan includes collaborations with Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, and Spain, formalizing cultural and diplomatic ties through 2030.
The initiative focuses on fostering dialogue through joint programming in art, sports, and education. By securing partners well in advance, the organization aims to move away from ad-hoc projects toward a structured, long-term calendar of events designed to build lasting institutional links.
This expansion represents a continuation of Qatar's broader foreign policy strategy, which utilizes cultural soft power to enhance its international presence. The program intends to facilitate sustained engagement between Qatari entities and their European counterparts as part of its ongoing developmental objectives.
