Chinese automaker Qi Jing Auto has released a statement to address a recent incident where an internal message was accidentally distributed to a media chat group. A screenshot of the exchange, which contained phrases like "Xiaomi Pengcheng attack and defense," circulated online, prompting clarification from the company.

Qi Jing Auto explained that the message was sent by mistake and that the "attack and defense" terminology referred to internal market monitoring and product differentiation analysis conducted before new model launches. The company acknowledged the improper wording and the hasty decision to disband the group as unprofessional, apologizing for any trouble caused and vowing to improve its management processes.

The company emphasized its commitment to product development, stating that its response to competition lies in the quality of its vehicles. Qi Jing Auto asserted its respect for competitors and its intention to compete through superior products rather than negative tactics.

Qi Jing Auto's new model, the GX7, is a five-seater smart SUV designed for versatility. Pre-sales for the GX7, which features a rear seat that can flatten in 20 seconds and offers 12 different interior configurations, began on September 4.
