Qijing GX7 SUV Pre-sale Event Scheduled for September 4
Chinese electric vehicle brand Qijing, a joint venture between GAC and Huawei, announced its first large five-seater SUV, the GX7, will have its pre-sale event on September 4. Performance test results were also released.
Qijing, the premium new energy vehicle brand formed by GAC and Huawei, has set September 4 for the pre-sale launch event of its second model, the Qijing GX7, which is also its first large five-seater SUV. The company also released test results for the vehicle's handling capabilities.
The GX7 achieved a top speed of 81.6 km/h in a dry slalom (moose) test and 122 km/h in a wet double-lane change test. These tests measure a vehicle's stability and control during emergency maneuvers. The company stated that speeds exceeding 80 km/h in dry conditions are considered top-tier.
The Qijing GX7 measures 5099mm in length, 2006mm in width, and 1750mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3070mm. It features Huawei's ADS 5 intelligent driving system, equipped with four LiDAR units and a total of 38 sensors. The cabin runs on HarmonyOS, featuring HarmonySpace 6 and dual 15.6-inch displays.
Power comes from a 1.5T range-extender system combined with a tri-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 550 kW. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in the low three-second range. It offers battery options of 51.9 kWh and 67.2kWh, providing an electric-only range of up to 385km and a combined range exceeding 1500km. The SUV supports 800V 5C ultra-fast charging.
