QNu Labs Secures ₹200 Crore for Quantum Cybersecurity R&D

Indian quantum cybersecurity startup QNu Labs has successfully raised ₹200 crore (approximately $21 million) in its Series A1 funding round. The round was co-led by the state-backed National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest, with participation from Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital, and Artha Ventures.

The Bengaluru-based company intends to utilize the new capital for research and development (R&D), sales initiatives, go-to-market strategies, and forging partnerships. CEO Sunil Gupta stated that funds will also be directed towards enhancing internal processes, IT infrastructure, and automation.

This latest funding brings QNu Labs' total capital raised to ₹375 crore. Previously, the startup had secured ₹60 crore in its Series A funding round.

The investment also enables QNu Labs to meet the matching fund requirement for a ₹150 crore government-backed Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) project. The company is expanding its product portfolio, developing a new platform called QShield 2.0 focused on discovering and assessing cryptographic assets for enterprises preparing for quantum-safe migration. Additionally, QNu Labs is working on security solutions for drones and satellites, targeting the defense sector.
