QQ HarmonyOS App Updated with New Features
Tencent's QQ app for HarmonyOS has received an update, bringing new functionalities including the ability to send "flash photos" in chats.
Chinese technology publication IT Home reported on August 31 that Tencent's QQ app for HarmonyOS has launched with a new official update, version 9.2.60.
The update introduces several new features to the application. Users can now send "flash photos" (闪照) in friend chats, which disappear after being viewed. "Space updates" (空间动态) also gain a feature for saving content. Additionally, the "scan and sweep" function now supports text recognition from images.
Other new additions include photo selection, anonymous questions, the ability to add friends by phone number, and silent video playback. A new pull-down mini-program menu has also been added to the homepage, and channels now support image and video posting. Payment features have been expanded to include receiving codes, group payments, and transfer functions.
QQ's HarmonyOS version currently holds 4.6 million ratings with an average of 2.4. The app already supports features such as single and group chats, voice and video calls, red packet grabbing, viewing space updates and short videos, channels, and simultaneous login on mobile and tablet devices.
Tencent also launched a HarmonyOS version of QQ for computers last July, with an interface similar to its Windows and macOS counterparts.
