Quantinuum and SoftBank Corp. Publish White Paper on Quantum Computing Use Cases
Quantinuum and SoftBank Corp. have released a joint white paper mapping commercially relevant quantum computing use cases to Quantinuum's hardware roadmap.

Quantinuum and SoftBank Corp. have published a joint white paper titled "Quantum Computing Frontiers," which outlines two commercially relevant quantum computing application areas: quantum chemistry and graph analytics, mapped against Quantinuum's hardware development roadmap.
The paper provides a framework for assessing when advances in quantum hardware and algorithms will enable practical industrial applications. The analysis focuses on quantum chemistry for new materials discovery and energy research, and topological data analysis for large-scale graph analytics, including fraud detection in the telecommunications sector.
Authors discuss the integration of quantum computing, AI, and high-performance computing into future computing infrastructure. Both companies suggest that organizations can begin exploring where quantum computing can create value using current systems, building technical and operational readiness for future advancements.
SoftBank and Quantinuum intend to use the roadmap presented in the paper to inform their exploration of future quantum AI data center services and related business models. The white paper offers a conceptual framework for understanding potential market evolution and does not provide financial forecasts.
