Quantum Computing is Here, Says Quantum Computing Inc. CEO

Quantum Computing Inc. CEO Yuping Huang has stated that quantum computing is no longer just a theoretical concept or a future promise, but the technology is already in use to solve complex problems.

Huang explained that quantum computers offer an entirely new way of computing, distinct from traditional machines. They enable tackling challenges that lie beyond the processing power of conventional computers, such as modeling cancer drugs or managing the complexity of financial markets.

He emphasized that while the development of quantum computers has been gradual and the technology has often been marketed as a distant goal, functional systems already exist. These systems are currently being applied to solve real, significant problems outside of laboratory settings.

Huang likened the current state of quantum computing to the early stages of the internet or airplanes, which began to be utilized before they were perfect. He urged industry players and potential beneficiaries not to wait for the perfect solution but to leverage existing quantum technologies and build upon them.
